The Backstory

A.M.J. Maters was established in 1980 and today we represent some of the leading manufacturers of packaging machinery, palletising and materials handling systems, for whom we provide a full UK-based after-sales support service for. Their existing website was severely out of date, and didn’t include the correct information, was slow, and made it very hard for the business to make changes to the website. We worked with the client to produce a custom bespoke design to fit their requirements, and developed it independently. Due to the scale of the project, it was completed over a few weeks and was released on the Client’s Hosting Platform.

Our Approach

As part of the development of this website, we upscaled their branding so it was usable in an online medium. This website includes two custom request forms that were coded separately to ensure that they had all of the custom features the client had requested. Their home page features a clean, responsive design that includes their key brand colours, and includes some of their most important clients to date. We developed the Machinery pages in a way that prioritised the information over design - and whilst it looks clean, we needed to make sure that a potential client could get all the information they required in an instant. The fonts that are used throughout are bold and were made to stand out, in conjunction with their brand colours, which has resulted in a professional looking website that the business can now be proud of.

The Impact

The website has seen great analytics due to the business having an exceptional reputation in the industry. Despite this great reputation, their previous website let them down meaning it didn’t rank as highly as it could have on Search Engines. Following the release of our solution, and after an observation period, we have seen customers from over 20 different countries; observing spectacular results on Search Engines because of our optimisations. We were able to get the website to the top search for ‘Case Erectors UK’, and the top ten searches for ‘Case Sealing UK’. This increase, and ranking will over time have a direct impact on sales, due to the additional exposure of the brand to potential customers.
