The Backstory
Right at the centre of the community of Arlesey, Millennium Takeaway is a family ran Chinese Takeaway and Fish and Chip shop. This website was a new development, with the business having previously used a prebuilt online ordering system that was clunky and made it very hard for the business to operate efficiently. we worked with the Client to produce a clean, responsive website that fitted their needs, that included a number of key features to ensure that their customers could easy find what they needed. This was completed over a short timescale and was released through our Hosting Platform and the WordPress Content Management System.
Our Approach
We ensured that the website was designed in a minimal way relayed all of their key information to their customers. We included a number of high-resolution images to make the website pop and made sure the website featured bold headings to make accessibility and visibility of the text appeal to any user. Their Menu, which is based on a clickable, responsive plugin allows their customers to view it responsively on any device. The homepage includes the business’s reviews to show potential customers the quality of both the products but also the experience they will have, along with a Google Maps integration of the Shops location. Our Design and Development combined with our Hosting and Domain services mean that the team at Millennium Takeaway can login and edit their website at any point, giving them the flexibility over their brand, and website at any point.
The Impact
The website has seen exceptional performance increases over the COVID-19 Pandemic due to the increase in the use of E-Commerce to sell physical products online. We observed a traffic increase of an average of 122% of both new and existing customers that were looking for a tasty meal to eat. Due to our SEO Optimisations, Millennium Takeaway’ Website now ranks in the top three searches for ‘Takeaways in Arlesey’. This increase, and ranking will over time have a direct impact on sales, due to the additional exposure of the brand to potential customers.
